Week One on Crush Fit 60 Day Workout Program

I am excited to share an update with everyone on my progress so far doing the Crush Fitness 60 day workout program. I signed up a week or so ago and started Day 1 on Monday which was a great time to kick off a new routine. I purchased the Crush 60 program which comes with over 100 pages of tips, workouts and advice. Each day I take my paper with me to the gym and do the routine, exactly as it states. It lines out for me the number of sets, the number of reps and when I need to super set and when I don’t. So far this week I’ve done chest, back, arms and core/cardio day. Today is Day 5 which is called a Heat Day which basically focuses on cardio and fat burning. Even though the workouts focus mainly on lifting I also add in some warm up cardio and HIIT at the end, if I am not exhausted (though the program is very challenging so I am always tired at the end).

I love these new sneakers, not only are they super comfy but the color is awesome! I got these on Amazon and they come in a variety of fun colors

As I mentioned in a previous post about Crush Fitness I love the workouts but also the community aspect of the program. Once you sign up you will be invited to a private Facebook group with other “Crush Fitters” and the motivation, support and tips from other people doing the programs is overwhelming. It feels so good to have people to help one another and be so positive during the programs. Let’s face it, most of us know that our friends in real life don’t want to hear about our fitness obsession all day long, and it’s nice to have an outlet to go to that is a “judge-free” zone.

Each day that I go into the gym it’s nice to have a plan. I take my paper with me, bring a pen and then mark off as I finish each set to keep track. It’s also critical to pay attention to rest time in between. I usually have my cell phone with me and just do a count down timer to keep me on track. Some days it takes 45 minutes to finish and some days a bit longer, but I find a way to get in and out in under an hour and a half, I just don’t have the time to be in the gym any longer than that. Also, if you don’t have access to a particular piece of equipment there are things you can do to substitute instead, just make sure you pick something that is working the right muscle group for that day.

As I’ve mentioned before if you want to sign up to do this program with me it’s 15% off using promo code JERSEYGIRL

For the first week I have felt the difference in my training. By the last set and reps I am burning and can feel that it’s working on muscles that I may have not been isolating enough in the past. I never did a full workout just for chest before, so that was a new one to me. My diet and meal prepping is still going strong and I haven’t increased any of my calories or macros, but right now I am trying to cut a bit more so hopefully over the next few weeks I will see even more body fat % decrease and more cuts/abs to show which would be awesome! I am starting to see some major improvements since kicking things into high gear in 2016 and am motivated to keep it going. how about you? how are you all doing with your fitness goals for 2016?

  1. I love your blog! I just found it and have been exploring your health/fitness page all afternoon haha! I wanted to ask what you think of the crush 60 program since you have been doing it for a while now. Is it worth it? I’ve been looking into it to change up my weightlifting routine. Thanks:)
