When it comes to holiday gift shopping for your girlfriend, mom, female co-workers, friends or even for yourself (yes, we all do it “One for you…One for me!”) you really can never go wrong with amazing makeup palettes and gift sets. During the Christmas season you can always find some really great ones from a variety of cosmetic companies at very affordable prices. I find that giving makeup sets at holiday gifts or even birthday gifts is a great idea since most of them include a variety of colors to match any skin tone or skin type. The Lorac Pro palette is one of a kind. I love the soft, light colors on the left for more romantic, nude and natural looks but I adore the peach and pink tones and then the darker colors like espresso, deep purple and slate. This has endless amounts of looks it can create and it is a perfect palette for anyone as a gift. This runs around $40 and also gets 5 star reviews on Amazon.

This is the perfect “catch all” lip color set from Tarte Cosmetics that any girl would go ga-ga over to receive in their stocking this year. Josie Maran products are amazing for your skin and this is a perfect set to get someone introduced to her natural line of skin care products. You can find it on Amazon or Sephora and it something I wouldn’t normally buy for myself but would LOVE to get as a gift. It includes things like Moroccan Argan Oil for skin and hair, hand cream and body butter. Her products also smell amazing. This set is around $40 and gets great reviews (5 stars on Sephora).

I love Bobbi Brown cosmetics and I think this is a great brand for women who might be a bit older like an aunt, mom or co-worker since the colors are very beautiful and classic. Bobbi Brown makes amazing makeup bricks for cheeks as well which I love. I can see any woman using this on NYE! Her make up really lasts and stays on very well. 7. Smashbox Heat Wave Eyeshadow Palette – link to buy
What I really love about this palette by Smashbox is it has a wide spectrum of colors for evening and even day time. The golds, shimmery purples and blues are perfect for summer time or a night out where you want to try more bronzey colors. This is a very diverse palette and I love how pigmented their eyeshadows always are for a pop of color on the lids. This is around $48 and gets 4 stars on Sephora and 5 on Amazon.

Not only is the packaging on this set by Stila adorable, but it makes the woman who opens it on the holidays think you spent so much because you get 9 lip glosses in this set! It also only costs $28, the cost of 2 MAC lip glosses. I love their lip products because they never feel sticky or tacky on the lips and they have beautiful colors as well. This is a new and limited set and has 4 and 1/2 stars on Sephora already.
9. Sigma Makeup Brushes Essential Kit Set – buy here
Sigma brushes are my top 2 favorite brushes out there when it comes to makeup application. You would impress any woman buying this for her for the holidays. While it is a bit pricier than my other picks (around $125 for the entire set) it is well worth it. She will be stocked with all the best brushes to achieve any make up look. Quality brushes are key to good makeup application so these are something she will use for a long time.

I love Tarte mascara, it is hands down my favorite and has been for years now. This set is a great introduction to give someone into their line of products and any girl I have introduced to their mascara has been hooked, it is the best! This is a limited edition cheek set by Nars but if you know someone who loves their blushes this is an amazing set to give. It is around $65 on Sephora and really covers all the bases of great cheek colors for the holidays. Nars blush is some of my favorite since it lasts and is hyper pigmented with usually some flecks of color in them. Absolutely beautiful on almost any skin tone.
