Sunday Brunch – a past time I love and one of the best places to do it right is in Hoboken, New Jersey. The weather is just perfect in the summer to enjoy a bite to eat and an adult beverage on the waterfront looking at the Manhattan skyline. Today me and my friend and former co-worker Erin ventured to Hoboken for Sunday cocktails and eats. We decided to go to Del Frisco’s Grill which is 221 River Street which is the closest road to the waterfront. While it was a bit cloudy today that surely didn’t damper our brunching spirit one bit.

I just got a new camera so I brought that along and walked along the water snapping some images while I waited for Erin to arrive. I absolutely love my new point and shoot – it’s the Nikon J4 in white and I have the 10-30mm lens on it which is perfect for macro and portrait photos. I got it on Amazon a week ago since lugging around one of my DSLR cameras is always just so heavy and bulky. I also jazzed it up by ordering a white chain purse strap to use as my camera strap. It makes it look super cute and like an accessory!

So what do I eat when I head out to a pub, grill or some place with mostly American bar food? Well sometimes I cheat and have some chips and guacamole or I get celery and carrots if they have that instead of chips. I will always ask if they have veggies instead of chips. I usually will get some kind of salad with chicken, shrimp or steak. I always get a cocktail because I mean its brunch right but I like things like lemon drop martinis or a glass or red wine.

If you ever get the chance to visit Hoboken, New Jersey it’s a fun, hip, young town filled with lots of pubs, bars and small places to grab a bite to eat. It is right on the opposite side of the river where you can see all of Manhattan. It’s a great place to go for a bike ride or run, take the dogs for a walk and meet friends like I did for some convo and cocktails.

There are a great list of places I have visited in Hoboken for brunch but my favorites are The Brass Rail and Ainsworth. All of them have great food and a good vibe with tasty beverages. I like Ainsworth for its more lunch time snacks and Brass Rail has a ton of good breakfast options. Del Frisco is great for both so if you aren’t sure which you want to choose you have both options.

And even though 9/11 was so long ago you can’t stop and look at this view and remember what the skyline used to be like. It’s a reminder all the time of the men and women we lost on that terrible day. The view is now forever changed…
