Planning your wedding day is going to, most likely, be the biggest event that you will ever plan in your life. As you will be one of the guests of honor, you want to make sure that you are able to enjoy it to its fullest. When you are planning it out, you might have a meticulous checklist that you follow. But even so, it can lead to you stressing out. We hear the term ‘bridezilla’ for a reason! So follow these tips to make sure that you have a wedding day that is as stress-free as possible.
Remember To Eat
It might sound silly, but you need to make sure that on the morning of your wedding you have a large breakfast. You might be too anxious to eat lots and lots of food. But you need to make sure that you eat something. But once all of the ceremony and reception get underway, you will have little time to eat anything. That can make you cranky and not help your energy levels. So try to eat as much as you can before things get underway.
Hire Experienced Suppliers
You might have a friend of a friend that once did a catering course or baked a cake, but does that qualify them to take care of things on your wedding day? Making sure that you hire some hospitality services that are experienced, means that you can relax in the knowledge that things will be taken care of. If you use someone that isn’t experienced it could really add to how stressed you feel. You don’t want things to go wrong on your wedding day. Especially if there were things that you could do to avoid them.
Don’t Use Your Phone
With Facebook and Instagram so popular these days, your phone can be buzzing all day with notifications and messages. So avoid the stress (and temptation) of checking it all the time on your wedding day. You will have plenty of time to see the photos you’ve been tagged in or all the congratulatory messages once it is all finished. So hand it to the best man or maid of honor and get on with enjoying your day.
Make Copies of Keepsakes Beforehand
If you want to have a copy of your menu or the order of service from the ceremony, then it is a good idea to make copies beforehand. Saving an order of service on the day is going to be the last thing on your mind. If you don’t have time to do it all beforehand, assign someone in the wedding party the task of doing it for you. Then you can have copies of it all for your wedding book.
Learn To Ignore
At the end of the day, one or two things might not go to plan. But the best thing to do is to make sure that you don’t pay any attention to it. Just enjoy the day as much as you can and focus on what you are there for; getting married to your love!
