Tips to Achieve Healthy Weight Loss

So, you’re struggling to meet your weight goals. Well, don’t despair or get too hard on yourself – as I always say we are a work in progress and small lifestyle changes can pay off big time if you are just patient. There might be some things you can try before giving up just yet. Here are some top ways to lose weight that you might not have considered before. As always, make sure to combine any of these tips with proper nutrition and a workout program or plan.

Get the Right Amount of Sleep

The amount of time you spend asleep can actually have an impact on how easy it is for you to lose weight. So, if you’re finding it difficult to ditch the fat, it might be because you are not getting enough sleep. For something that is relatively easy to change, this is a pretty stupid thing to do. By going to bed a little earlier, you could completely change the way your body behaves during the day. It’s a big deal, so you should make sure that you’re getting between seven and nine hours of sleep each night.

Count ALL the Calories

Some people have a real problem when it comes to realizing where all those calories are hidden. Calories are not something that are only hidden in cakes and biscuits. They’re in all kinds of foods, and you might be consuming more of them than you currently realize. Many of us think that we eat much more healthily than we actually do. Whether it’s through ignorance of self-delusion, it’s something that isn’t uncommon. For example, do you count all the calories that you drink as well as eat?

Get Expert Help

Sometimes, you need to get help from people who really know what they’re talking about. That advice from your best friend might not be as reliable as you think it is. It’s always a good idea to talk to your doctor before you set off on a weight loss journey. Not only will they make sure that you do it healthily, but they’ll also give you some useful advice. They understand what it takes to improve your health and lifestyle.

Eat Breakfast Every Morning

Many people think that skipping breakfast is a great way to cut down on the number of calories they consume. They then think this will allow them to lose weight. But, unfortunately, that’s not how it works, and this is not a method to be recommended. In fact, when you don’t eat breakfast, your body holds onto weight. This happens because your body things that it is being starved. So, you need to eat a good, healthy breakfast because this will help to kick start your metabolism.

Don’t Overeat Healthy Foods

There is such thing as too much of a good thing. This is something that a lot of people forget when they are trying to shed those excess pounds. You’re never going to become healthier if you are eating too much, no matter what you’re eating. Of course, replacing chocolate with nuts or crisps with yogurt is a good thing. But it will only take you so far if you’re stuffing your face with those things. So, remember to eat in moderation and control your portion sizes, even when eating healthy foods.

  1. Adrienne I’m curious what your thoughts are on shakeology, isagenix, etc! I’m looking for a healthy program. There are just so many out there.

  2. I have just recently started weight lifting, I am trying to lose weight I have about 10 more lbs to go. I also just started tracking my macros and I am not getting enough protein, would you suggest a protein shake? I am just worried that the shake will make me gain.

  3. no the shake will not make you gain if you are eating the right amount of calories per day. find a protein with 20-23 grams per serving and under 160 calories

  4. I am not a fan of the high priced programs i just buy protein powders and fruits and veggies and do it myself 🙂
