Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip Protein Bread Recipe

If you love the taste of peanut butter cookies, but are looking for a great recipe to turn those into a loaf of delicious, high protein bread – look no further. After perfecting the measurements of this recipe a few times (bread can be a tricky thing to get right especially when you are using protein powder) this turned out amazing! I used quite a few healthy items that I already had in my pantry to make this and it was a big hit when I sliced up this hot treat for everyone.

To make this recipe you will need a disposable bread baking tin, olive oil spray, a mixer or mixing bowl, measuring spoons and the ingredients listed below. You will need to preheat your oven to 350 degrees and this bread will take 30 minutes to bake. Make sure to spray your baking tin with the olive oil spray to prevent the bread from sticking to the tin. I got to use my new Brown KitchenAid Mixer which I got as a gift for my bridal shower – I was so excited to use it and it is amazing!

What you will need to make this recipe:

This recipe is for those who really want to get more protein into their diet. I like to use ingredients that are high in protein and are also natural, clean and non-gmo when possible. I really like adding peanut butter to my recipes instead of using oils since peanut butter already has an oil base and the P28 Foods White Chocolate high protein peanut butter adds even more protein to this bread recipe. It’s also very creamy and smooth so it blends very well when mixing.

I also like to substitute chocolate chips with cacao nibs which are a super food and antioxidant rich ingredient. The cacao nibs also don’t melt like chocolate chips due when baking, they stay crunch and that adds a nice texture to the bread slices as well. Even though this bread uses protein powder, which can be dry when used in baking, this bread comes out soft and moist. You can slice it up and then take 1-2 with you to eat on the go or as a dessert.
