Quest Nutrition Protein Bars – Review & Top Flavor Picks

Quest Protein Bars – a quick & easy on-the-go protein bar

It’s hard to stick to your diet when your life and busy schedule get in the way. We are tempted every day with bad food options or quick snacks to hold us over until our next meal. How many times have you stopped at the gas station on the way somewhere because your stomach was growling and you had to choose some type of “healthy” snack to keep you from wanting to gnaw your own arm off. For this reason I am always prepared with healthy snack options at every turn: I am never without at least a few Quest Protein bars! Most of the bars range in calories from 160-200 per bar and fat of about 4-10 grams. They are all high in protein with most of them at 21 grams of protein and high in fiber, usually 18 grams per bar.

I usually keep some of these protein bars in my purse, in my car and in my gym bag. This prepares me for any time that I might need something to snack on that is not high in calories and has a high protein and fiber profile. The protein and fiber help me to stay feeling fuller for longer and anytime I can eat something that also tastes good that is a nice bonus. I have been eating Quest bars for about 2 years now and it is so exciting to see how much this company has grown and exploded in popularity in the last two years. They have come out with a few new flavors and below is my list of my top flavors. I have tried all of them at this point and I am always willing to try new ones, but the ones listed in this post are my tried and true favorites. I usually buy a few boxes at a time and make sure I put a few of each in all of secret stash spots to make sure I am never empty handed.

1. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Quest Bar (click here to buy)  – this one is a top pick for me and is one of their newer flavors. It has the mix of salty and sweet and bit of chocolate chunks which are creamy and tasty. These I love to keep in my car in the glove box or the center console area so that if my car gets a little warm parked during the day, when I drive home I can snack on one of these and its a bit melted and gooey inside.

2. Cookies & Cream Quest Bars (buy here) – if you love cookies and cream flavored ice cream then you will likely love these. This is the newest flavor and it contains real bits of cookies made by Quest in the bars as well. This is a soft and yummy treat with 21 grams of protein and satisfies a sweet tooth. Unlike the cookie dough flavor this one is all sweet, no salty taste.

3. Peanut Butter and Jelly Quest Bars (buy here online) – this is one of the original flavors and one that I have stuck to over the years. It really tastes like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and is a great treat for me in between meals or after a workout. The only downfall to this one is it is the higher calorie bar  and higher fat than the others with 200 calories and 10 grams of fat per bar.

4. Strawberry Cheesecake Quest Bars (buy here online) – I love these because they taste like a dessert and are lower in fat and calories than the other top three above. These also have what seems to be little dried strawberry bites in the bar which are delicious to bite into.
